Hey everyone!
I've changed my blogskin and I want to thank the person who created it.
Recently I've been blog-hopping and I started at Blogger's blogs of note.
If I am free, I'll blog-hop somemore.
Anyway, I'm posting a book review here.
Today's book review is Cathy Cassidy's latest book , GingerSnaps. The story is one of the greatest I have ever read. The main thing that attracted me to the storybook is because of the saxophone one the cover. I'm in my school band and I play the horn. I have always wanted to try out other instruments such as the flute, saxophone and clarinet but I can't as my school band is a brass band. Anyway, the story is about Ginger, a girl who is constantly bullied and teased in primary school. When she gets to the 8th Grade, she changes competely and all her puppy fat and pigtails are history. She also befriends Shannon, whom is the only person she wants to keep her past from. Then they meet Emily, Ginger's old classmate. Shannon and Ginger helps to give her a makeover and Shannon promises to 'ditch' Emily after she has found new friends but she doesn't keep her promise and Ginger feels as if Shannon treats Emily better. Ginger feels left out like she did in the past. But then she has Sam Taylor, the weird saxophone playing boy who lives in the narrowboat cadenza. But she makes too many empty promises to Sam Taylor, and their relationship starts to fail. What will happen? Read it to find out!

Hey everyone!
Time is passing so fast these days, school seems to fly by[yeah,i'm still in school and I'm in the last grade]. I didn't have so much time to post so I didn't post much. Anyway, I have just gone to a HARRIS bookstore near my house and I loved it! It almost killed me to leave it as it was like a heaven for me [but there's another heaven I'll be looking forward to going too.] It almost broke my heart when I couldn't buy I book I wanted because of the price. Thirty-Two dollars for a book! Maybe I could get it as my birthday present, which is in August when I'll be having my exams. Anyway, I've made a list of my favourite bookstores at the side of blog. Be sure to check it out!
Anyway, I'm having a sort of bookworm day when I'll go around town and visit bookstores and find the books I want and maybe compare the prices[Money doesn't fall from trees, you know.]. I'll be going to BORDERS, which I haven't gone before. My parents say that its better than HARRIS but I don't know if they're right or wrong so I'll just have to check it out myself!

My Scary Fairy Godmother Book Review

Hey, fellow bloggers!
One of the good books I have read is My Scary Fairy Godmother by Rose Impey. I borrowed it from my friend and its really interesting and I loved the ending of the story. But its not really a fairytale, just a fairytale-ish kind of story. Its really great. Here my review of it.

This is the cover of the book. Normally people would say 'Don't judge a book by its cover.' and I follow that rule too, only that I don't apply it to my books. I think that if you are going to write a book, you have to make both the title and cover interesting-especially if you are writing a children's book. Some of the books I read have a great story inside them, but the title can be improved. Anyway, on with the review.
The story is about a pre-teen girl, Bella, whose mother is ill and she has to go to stay at her Aunt's house. At her Aunt's house, she meets Maxine, her popular and fashionable cousin. Maxine offers to give Bella a makeover, from head to toe and she gives Bella the nickname 'Izzy'. Soon, 'Izzy' realises that she got more than a fashion makeover- she got a personality 'makeover' too. But soon enough, the personality 'makeover' does more harm then good for her. And she starts forgetting who she was in the start and the people who helped her. The book is really interesting, and I don't want to give the whole details because it will spoil the pleasure of reading it yourself. If you are free and bored, why not go and check out this book at your neighbourhood library? You'd better do it, and I promise you'll not regret it!
